1. Introduction
Welcome to Salt & Ceremony ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our catering and event services. By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not proceed with booking our services.
2. Definitions
- "Client" refers to the individual or entity booking our services.
- "Event" refers to any occasion for which our services are booked.
- "Services" refers to catering, grazing tables, pop-up dining experiences, and related offerings provided by Salt & Ceremony.
- "Booking Confirmation" refers to the formal agreement between the Client and Salt & Ceremony, finalized upon receipt of deposit and signed contract.
3. Services
Salt & Ceremony specializes in curated dining experiences, including but not limited to:
- Grazing tables and charcuterie boards
- Restaurant pop-ups and takeovers
- The Human Library supper club experiences
- Custom event catering
All services are tailored to the Client's specific needs, event type, and dietary preferences. Menus and offerings are subject to seasonal availability and may vary.
4. Booking and Payment
4.1 Booking Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only upon:
- Receipt of a signed service agreement or contract
- Payment of the required deposit
4.2 Payment Terms
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total service cost is required to confirm the booking.
- Final Payment: The remaining 50% is due seven (7) days before the Event date.
- Late Payments: Failure to make timely payments may result in cancellation of services without refund of the deposit.
4.3 Payment Methods
Payments can be made via bank transfer, UPI, or other mutually agreed methods. All payments must be in INR unless otherwise specified.
5. Cancellation and Refund Policy
5.1 Cancellation by Client
If the Client wishes to cancel the booking, the following refund policy applies:
- 30+ days before the Event: 50% of the deposit will be refunded.
- 15-29 days before the Event: 25% of the deposit will be refunded.
- Less than 14 days before the Event: No refund will be issued.
5.2 Cancellation by Salt & Ceremony
In the rare event that Salt & Ceremony must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., emergencies, supplier issues), the Client will be offered:
- A full refund of all payments made, or
- Rescheduling to an alternative date at no additional cost.
5.3 Rescheduling
Clients may request to reschedule their Event subject to availability. A rescheduling fee may apply, and the new date must be within six (6) months of the original Event date.
6. Client Responsibilities
To ensure a smooth Event, the Client agrees to:
- Venue Access: Provide access to the Event venue at least 2-3 hours before the Event start time for setup.
- Guest Count: Confirm the final guest count at least seven (7) days before the Event. Any increase after this period is subject to availability and additional charges.
- Dietary Requirements: Communicate all dietary restrictions, allergies, or special menu requests at least 14 days before the Event.
- Venue Suitability: Ensure the venue has adequate facilities (e.g., electricity, water access, parking) as required for the service.
- Permits and Approvals: Obtain any necessary permits, licenses, or approvals required by the venue or local authorities.
7. Liability
7.1 Limitation of Liability
Salt & Ceremony shall not be held liable for:
- Any injuries, damages, or losses incurred by guests or third parties during the Event.
- Loss or damage to personal property at the Event venue.
- Delays or service disruptions caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, venue restrictions, supplier failures).
7.2 Insurance
Salt & Ceremony maintains appropriate liability insurance for its operations. Clients are responsible for ensuring that their Event venue has adequate insurance coverage.
7.3 Food Safety
We adhere to the highest food safety standards. However, we are not liable for allergic reactions or dietary issues if the Client fails to communicate restrictions or if guests consume food despite known allergies.
8. Modifications to Terms
Salt & Ceremony reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated via email or posted on our website. Continued use of our services after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
